  25th Oct

6.37 AM, can't sleep.
My friend told me that they've made my favourite Japanese comic, "Black and White by Taiyo Matsumoto" into a film.
In Japan it was called Tekkon Kincrete. Check the site out, it looks kind of good, just been geeking off checking the trailers

http://www.tekkon.net/site.html

I'm excited anyway, not sure about the sketchy emotional J-Pop soundtrack. Don't get me wrong, I love J-pop, especially when its anything like the soundtrack to that incredible movie Ping Pong , ALSO written by Taoyo Matsumoto, but the sketchy emotional guitar boy band stuff is a bit weird. Anyway, back to the film, to cut a long story short this book (Black and White) totally rules, its about these two little punk kids in a city in Japan who wear crazy clothes and have super powers and run around terrorizing everyone (Sound like our very own Chopper and Hamaji??)
There are three books, and its drawn amazingly, and its hard to describe how rad it is, just check it out if you want.
All I can say is that I have to have these books in my house at all times, and if I ever lend them to anyone I start freaking out and calling people up and asking if they have them. So no, you can't borrow mine, get your own, it rules.
Anyway this isn't a comic website, you wanna read about skateboarding right? Howard got the cover of Document! That's two covers this year, the little bastard. I don't know how he does it, but I'm not complaining, cos he does it. I'll post it up soon.
What else? "Everything" sent to the printers this week, I promise, out in a month, very cheap!
French boards out soon, new wheels out now, I'll get all this on the site soon.

And if you haven't seen "Live from Antarctica" by now, you are a total gaylord. I met a few people this week that hadn't seen it yet. Geez, I mean this is the most important skate video ever to come out of er, New Cross. So go and buy it.

  Bagels

I just woke up from an incredibly vivid dream about Smoked Salmon and cream cheese bagels. I suspect that it stems from the New Yorker Bagel that I had a year ago in Bruccianni's in Preston which was incredible.
Back from Los Angeles, thanks to Justin for letting me crash at his place, and "Aw Yeah" to Scottie for coming shredding with me and going on milkshake missions.
So I'm back, but in about three hours I'll be on my way to Lisbon for a few days for a bit of shredding maybe (Although the weather is meant to be terrible at the moment). So we may end up just hanging around and eating loads of cakes for three days. Hey, actually that sounds good.

Some photo's taken by my phone.

McGuire rules. You have no idea.

Cars in America are rad. If I lived here I'd drive this.

Bring me my sandwich an hour after I order it, and after I've complained three times, but still make a smiley face in my ketchup. Cheers Johnnie Rockets.

Last Louie sighting, driving around London.

  LOS ANGELES 2/10/2006

Californian Cops are cooler than New York cops. The cop who gave us tickets in New York was a prick, tonight I wasn't wearing a helmet at Carlsbad park and i thought that the cop was gonna ticket me, he had his book out and everything, but after i explained that I was from England and there on holiday, he let me off. We were laughing, because he said "Someone yelled "Cop" and you slinked over there like a jaguar" Rad, a cop with poetic aspirations.
Here to do Altamont stuff for a bit, drove down to Encinitas to see my homies from Zero though.
Got a new digital camera, so i'll post some pictures up soon.
