Out in the shops today!!!
Not the first Tom Waits post and I'm sure it won't be the last, the great man has a new album out. Its actuallty out on Monday but thanks to some connections I managed to get a Limited Edition Boxed set a few days early (Thanks Mike).
Man is this one good. The album is called orphans and its a 3 disk set, the disks all have seperate names and are called Brawlers, Bawlers and Bastards. I haven't even been able to sit down and listen to it in its entirety just yet, but what I've heard of it so far has been nothing short of amazing. People ask me what my obsession with Tom Waits is about and I usually say something like "Tom's there for me in the good times and the bad". Well this album pretty much proves that, there's everything you need, from heartbreaking ballards, to him hitting pots and pans around and yelling over the top of it. I really like "Army Ants" which is basically Tom reading facts about insects. (Its the kind of thing that Pulman would suggest for his video part.)
You basically can't live a full and satisfied life without this album.
Go to www.anti.com for more info on our lad Tom.

Here's a new shirt I designed last week. If it upsets you, good, its meant to. This is Heroin Skateboards for fucks sake.

EVERYTHING DVD IS COMING.
Featuring our first two Videos Good Shit (1999) and Everything's going to be Alright (2002) plus the Days in the City sections of Pulman and Blind Ollie, as well as adverts, trailers, a previously unseen Osaka Daggers video (2004).
All for the ridiculously low price of £5.00. The video is at the dupers now, should be back in the next couple of weeks, certainly before December. This is only going to be available in the UK on PAL format (All regions), apologies to those of you in the USA and Japan wanting to see this.

I was looking through some old files trying to mock up the Zombie Flesh eaters wheel for the urethane bit on the site, and I found this old ad that my old mate Mark Newton drew. We're talking May 2000. Rad. I drew t'pigeon mind. Blogger's acting up, the blood splatter looks blue, click on it and it'll re-open in the proper colours.

Told you it was Brutal.
It'll be out in a month.
Gonna put all the new wheels up and a new shirt we did too.
Check back in a couple of days.
Okay, so I knew Ault was good, but we got ten tricks on film this weekend. So loads of em were at Mudchute today, but overall we got some seriously good shit. Aults working on a section for our next DVD. Will be featuring him, Fiske and Rogie and some others depending on who gets their asses in gear and gets some footage.
I'm just working all the time on Heroin/Landscape and Altamont stuff. Got a busy few weeks before Christmas.
New French boards are ordered and coming soon, and for those of you who've seen the Barrier Kult DVD we have a special "Deer Man of Dark Woods" board in that series. Its pretty much exclusively for skating Barriers at 9.5 wide and pool board shaped it looks brutal. Wack some 59mm Evil Eye wheels on it and yer all set. These treats will be up on the site later this week.
Gonna go, 6AM watching Ping Pong, I think its my favourite film.
Filmed a trick with Ault yesterday, trying to get back on the filming program for a new thing we're working on.
Going out again with the little bastard today. Ault rips.
Just been working on stuff, graphics for next year, finishing the French series of graphics. They should be here in a couple of weeks. Doing some other stuff with French at the moment too.
New Wheels are at Power! 59mm Evil Eyes, 55mm Paisleys etc etc. Zorlac sent me some Paisleys to ride, I'm so stoked on them, really good Ice Blue colour, paler than the ones we've done in the past. Looking good.
Been getting lots of mails about distribution lately, Puetro Rico, Italy, Russia, all over the place, interesting times.
Me and our Heather saw Cat Power the other day at the Roundhouse in Camden, it was amazing, Cat Power is well good. I also have tickets for Slayer, The Pogues and Morrissey. That's MORRISSEY IN MANCHESTER ON DECEMBER 23RD.
How amazing is that gonna be?
Reet, best be off. Check www.myskateordie.com for a Chris Ault Clip.
