  VANS EUROPEAN DOWNTOWN SHOWDOWN

Last weekend we went to the Vans Downtown Showdown event in Torino, Italy. It was sick, back in July I was asked to design and obstacle and along with Blueprint and Cliche we were the three teams whose obstacles got made for this event. You can check the footage at kingpinskateboarding.com

This is where the comp took place, roof of the old Fiat Factory in Torino. This is our obstacle, hard to skate but fun. Everyone thought I was insane for designing this. We brought Ault! Bombed this in the pitch dark lit only by candles, seriously, funnest downhill bomb and one of the highlights of the weekend. Hey, why not take advantage of the hospitality? "No Way, is that Morph?" "Yeah I think it is, we should get his autograph" Heroin Roots Shirts, so hot right now. You should by one. Team-mates Chris got asked for Autographs, thats what happen when you shred that hard. He signed lots of foam hands. Man of the match, best trick on the Cliche obstacle and second best trick for the roll in on our wallride. Mad loot for Ault. Give Casper ten cans of red Bull and leave him alone in the hotel room all night and he draws cocks all over Aults shoes. Beyond rad. The floor at the comp was literally rougher than griptape, this is Aults shoe after a full day of skating and using it to stop. These were brand new on the day before. We'd better sort him out a shoe sponsor quick. Shoe Team managers WAKE UP, this kid is amazing. Asleep in the luggage rack. It's tiring work winning 2500 Euro's. Ryan Air were cool they let him take these massive cheques on the plane. Guess he's going to try and pay them in to the Gravesend branch in the next few days.
