A Lil Baker Boys Edit

Most of the squad rolled up to Baker Boys the other day to grab a few boards and bits, we don’t usually skate the park, but Hayate, Charlie and Dalton were there, so they wanted to have a roll around. Next thing I know the Go Pro was out and the session was on. Made a fun little edit out of the footage from that day. Thanks to Molly Nilsson for permission on using this great song, I love her stuff. She’s on Bandcamp here Molly Nilsson

Baker Boys Lil’ Edit. We hit the Baker park with the crew the other day and had this fun little session.

Dalton Dern goes Pro!

Really stoked to add Dalton Dern to our pro roster. He’s been skating for us for a few years now and constantly killing it. We turned him Pro the same night as his brother Kaanan went pro for Zero. First ever time that two brothers going pro for different companies at the same time. Congratulations Kaanan and Dalton!!

Shelloween x Snot Collab

Collabs are pretty easy to sort out when you own and run both the brands involved. I had the idea for this one in early September, and our awesome new factory in Texas did an incredible job on getting these little beauties together. We have two Halloween themed boards dropping this month, so it only makes sense that we drop some spooky themed wheels at the same time!! Get em while you can! I’m setting some of those orange ones up as soon as I can.

Nolan Houghton Pro Announcement

I’ve been skating with Nolan for a few years now, he started riding our boards around 2019 or 2020 I think and tagged in a few posts and I saw something special in there. The first time we met up and skated was actually one of the last sessions that we got to have with Zane Timpson. Zane and I talked about Nolan and agreed that he was a good fit for Heroin.

I had this idea that I wanted to make a video that introduced both of our new riders, Swampy and Nolan. I didn’t know what it looked like, how long it was going to run, or if they’d have their own parts, or it would be some kind of thirty second montage or something. It turned into a three year project, that we called Swolan (Swampy + Nolan). Swampy was gaining a name for himself and we decided to turn him pro at the premier for this video at Baker Boys Distribution. I told Nolan that he was next in line to get a board and that we’d turn him pro after his next video part. (We’re editing it now!)

Over the past few years I’ve gotten to know Nolan pretty well I think, we skate together a lot, he’s usually fairly quiet, but can say something that’ll have me in stitches laughing for the rest of the day. He’s a rad polite, humble lad who’s into good horror Manga, Ninja Turtles, 80’s movies, animals, and loads of other good stuff.

He fits perfectly in at all our skate sessions, quietly contemplating a trick, and by the end of the session we usually end up walking away with some footage and everyone saying “I can’t believe Nolan did that, that was nuts”. That’s happened a few times over the past few months, he’s been on a tear for this one. Can’t wait to share it with you guys. But for now, congrats Nolan! We’re really stoked to be able to ride your pro boards!

Go Pro Max first Post.

I really liked the clips that Tim filmed with his Go Pro Max in the Swolan video. I filmed most of my clips on my phone using a Deathlens, which I love and it’s great, but filming lines can be tricky sometimes. I want the next video will have more lines, so I picked up a Go Pro Max recently.

Had this idea to film a 360 clip where you can scroll around. Nolan, Casey and Goofy all did pivot fakes at T Street and so that seemed like the perfect clip to film for this. I like how immersive it is and you feel like you’re on the session.

NOLAN SWOLAN PART

Nolan used to just film stuff on his phone post it and tag me in it, he did that with his ender and I was like “Oh damn, I need to drive down and refilm that one”, that' happened a few times over the course of filming SWOLAN. I dig it though. I’m really proud of what we achieved with this part, Nolan went above and beyond and I think his first video part rules. So stoked that the Bobby Lees let us use this amazing song too.

Huge thanks to the band THANK from Leeds for letting me use the fantastic song “Dread” for this little montage part in our new video “Swolan”. This song was 100% my summer jam, and when I threw it on the timeline and it seemed to work really good, I was so stoked. Anyway, threw this one up on YouTube. Thanks to all who came through with footage for it. Aaron Wilson killed it hard, but all the lads did great.
