I always put a bit of time into gripping my boards. I guess this dates back to the 80’s when I grew up skating and people used to write stuff on their boards and have all stickers and brightly coloured griptape and stuff. Also, I keep the off cuts of grip when riders come to my house and grip boards. For some reason a lot of Heroin riders do this, Rogie used to, but now he pretty much will focus a board (See his trailer for Video Nasty) and there’s no point spending three hours on a grip job if you’re gonna snap your board in 20 minutes is there?
Anyway, a lot of people ask me how I grip my board like that and why, well, me and Compton filmed a little video for you all.
Enjoy!

As Video Nasty draws ever closer to a release date, we’re going to start putting up rider trailers.
First is Stephen Roe who is affectionately known as Rogie. He’s ridden for Heroin for over eight years now, and has parts in our videos Live from Antarctica (2005) and Magic Sticky Hand (2007)
Rogie has been kind enough to take some time off from breaking his bones and going to foam parties to actually go out and film a video part for us, so without further ado, enjoy the first ride trailer for Video Nasty. We’ll post one a week until the video comes out!
